Milestones 2019
Dear 2019, you are the last year of the decade. We have so many memories, growth, milestones to cherish, reflect, and be proud of. Looking back at 2019, as a company, as a team, 16’96 has accomplished a few things we’d like to mention. Just because we are just so darn proud.
Our very first office-showroom
was opened in the quaint neighborhood, Sanchaung this January. We have always wanted to do an intimate space where we showcase our products, while maintaining a cozy work environment for the team to relax and be productive. Being able to create our dream space was a solid start to 2019.
In 2019, two new collections have launched: AVA Office, and Monte Restaurant Furniture Collections.
It was emotional for us because these collections were rushed to be launched due to a high demand in office and restaurant furniture from our clients. AVA Collection aims to deliver minimal, functional and professionally elegant designs, while Monte is primarily designed for restaurants and any commercial projects relating to dining.
Ideating, tweaking, and crafting all year has led us to building a packed portfolio boasting 70 designs, both residential and commercial. 2019 is also the year we made 16’96 Original Designs possible. This was spearheaded by our Product Designer Ko Phyo Thoon Zaw and our broader team. Don’t fret, we aim to introduce more #1696Originals in 2020!
With the end of the year nearing, we want to thank our customers, new and loyal ones. Looking back, we discovered that we have an outstanding customer retention rate of 38% ! For this, we thank you. Thank you to those who purchased from us, thank you to those who left lovely reviews on Facebook (and also directly to us). We are super grateful. The ease of your shopping experience is as important to us as crafting quality furniture, so we are delighted to have this milestone for the year.
We had 15 fun commercial projects, ranging from growing businesses to internationally renowned franchises. With our craftsmanship growing, we are thrilled that our commercial portfolio is also growing.
