Job Summary

16’96 Concepts is looking to hire a Cost Accountant with excellent organizational and analytical skills. You will be expected to be detail-oriented, knowledgeable on statistics, have strong problem-solving skills, and deliver on tight timelines.

To ensure success, Cost Accountants should be confident, professional, and meticulous with a keen interest in the cost-efficient operations of the organization. An ideal candidate will have outstanding presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. We’re looking for a driven, ambitious individual who values being creative, thinking outside the box with a strong work ethic.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.

• Analyze and recommend cost savings opportunities

• Managing the company’s balance sheet, accounting books, and general ledger preparation

• Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing allotted costs to actual production costs.

• Conduct physical inventories and monitor raw materials usage on a daily basis

Skills

• Analytical thinker with strong financial, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics.

• Excellent report-writing, communication, and IT skills (Excel).

• Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on data

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field (essential)

• 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience (essential).

• Sound understanding of accounting principles.

• Solid cost systems background.
